The University of Kentucky Robinson Center Research Farm has been faced with many challenges in recent years. The flooding event of 2022 forced reconstruction in several areas. Despite those obstacles of rebuilding, one thing has remained constant through that change. The University's Land Grant Mission continues to emphasize teaching, research, and engagement to promote the well-being and success of Kentucky's next generation of leaders. The University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment was founded as a land-grant institution and offers access to knowledge and learning for all throughout the Commonwealth. Our research, teaching, and extension programs are part of a national system that maintains a statewide presence by linking local, state, and global issues. Agriculture, food, and environment systems are key components of Kentucky's economic future, and the college plays a prominent role in these areas with its programs and seeks to be recognized as one of the top colleges of its kind in the nation while sustaining the land-grant heritage of achievement in this challenging new century. In collaboration with the University, the Robinson Center continues to thrive and improve in their role with this land-grant mission. Together, we learn, discover, and engage every single day. Organized into three distinct sections: the Robinson Center Director oversees the budgets, the facilities and equipment, the staffing, and the promotion of the facility; whereas the Assistant Directors for the Wood Utilization Center, the Research Farm, and Robinson Forest oversee their respective areas of research and programs, as well as their facilities and staffing, annually. Hundreds of people visit the Robinson Center to experience our programming through Field Days, Youth Science Day, Pumpkin and Farm Days, Extension and Research Events, UK Student Classes, and so much more. Please plan to visit our facility soon.
